Te Mātāwai encourages kāinga, hapori and iwi to identify, pursue and fulfil their own Māori language aspirations. This is through their investment programme, builds a strong knowledge base and demonstrates leadership to support the revitalisation of the Māori language. “Kia Ūkaipō anō te Reo” is their vision to restore the Māori language as a nurturing first language for our tamariki and mokopuna.
