Ngā Tohu Reo Māori Evaluation 2025
An evaluation of Ngā Tohu Reo Māori (Ngā Tohu), the Māori Language Awards, was initiated by Te Taura Whiri i te Reo Māori (Te Taura Whiri) in 2025. The overall purpose of the evaluation was to determine what is working well in the planning and delivery of the event, and to identify any areas for improvement in future events.
This report provides an overview of the evaluation findings and key recommendations for Te Taura Whiri to consider. In addition, the report outlines the experiences of the event and mātauranga shared by award winners, a judge, sponsors, attendees, and Te Taura Whiri kaimahi who supported the event in 2025.
