Start paddling!
Uhi Tai is the te reo Māori normalisation symposium for the public and private sectors. Whether your organisation is already riding the wave, or just looking to take the first dip, Uhi Tai can help language normalisation in your work! Kia kaha te reo Māori!
The name Uhi Tai has been chosen to represent the hugely positive and supportive movement for te reo Māori in Aotearoa for all New Zealanders. The movement is like a wave, bringing energy and life to the shores of our nation.
The 2024 Uhi Tai language symposium draws on a range of experts and advocates from across all sorts of backgrounds, from businesses that have successfully incorporated te reo Māori as a common-sense component of their activities, to internationally impactful language campaigns, to language planning experts who live and breathe te reo Māori.
The goal is for you to leave Uhi Tai thinking: te reo Māori normalisation is important and you have the tools you need to support the movement! To be able to grab your paddle and start riding the wave!
