Language Normalisation
Normalisation embeds te reo Māori as a natural feature of everyday life in Aotearoa. Normalisation shows te reo Māori speakers that te reo Māori is valued and supported outside of their language-speaking communities, such as kōhanga reo, kura kaupapa, and the marae. Normalisation provides te reo Māori with the greatest opportunity to succeed. It encourages more use of the language and creates an environment that fosters the growth of te reo Māori, New Zealand's language.
